This forum is owned by the NG Atheists Group. Disbelief and the role it has played in society are the topics of discussion as is a certain amount of atheist humor. Personal attacks against mythists are not allowed but do not expect religion to be treated reverently. If this offends you, there are other forums on NG where religion may be discussed from a historical or cultural perspective. Promotion of religion, any religion, is not permitted at all, anywhere at NG.

A forum dedicated to the discussion of science which has its basis in rational study, uses the scientific method for research and discovery, and which goes through traditional peer review and repeatability. Pseudo-science, alternative science, and "conspiracy theories" based upon them are not welcome here. While non-scientists and the genuinely curious are welcome to post here and ask questions, this group is not meant to debate the merits of various extraordinary claims. Once a question has been asked and answered or de-bunked, it may be immediately locked, moved, or deleted.
