This new structure should be clear to everyone - it's intended to gather the various strands of "anti-reason" discussion at NG under a nice neat umbrella. So within "Assault On Reason" are four sub-categories:

• Conspiracism - conspiracy theories and the tinfoil brigade
• Quack medicine and pseudoscience - "Goldacre Acres" for posts about snake oil salemen, crystal healing, that sort of tomfoolery
• Antisemitism and hate - how irrationality feeds hatreds old and new. Antisemitism is mentioned especially only because it is so prevalent among the woo-woos
• Anti-intellectualism - anything concerning attempts to undermine public discourse, the dumbing down of the media (especially in the areas of science, medicine and politics), attacks on peer review and professional accreditation, and the War on Clever.

Further categories can be added to these four if needed, but let's try to get the initial four going before we start adding empty rooms. Please post any comments, questions or suggestions you might have here.
