Not funny

tng | 2006-05-14 20:11

OK, which one of you jokers signed me up for Budd Hopkins' mailing list? Please let me know so I can laugh about it -- as I'm signing your e-mail address up for the Discovery Insitute's, Ken Melman's and James Dobson's mailing lists. Oh, we'll laugh and we'll laugh about this some day.

In the meantime, you too can listen to Budd Hopkins talk about the myserious Brooklyn Bridge UFO abduction on Saturday, June 3 at the Association for Research and Elightenment (ARE), New York City. It's cheap. Only $30. $20 for Intruders Foundation members and students. What a perfect outing for a bunch of NYC area skeptics. And hey, social science students, you might be able to count it as field study. Ask your advisor.

spotted elephant | 2006-05-16 00:51 |  That's really, really funny.

Blogging can make for some strange friendships.  I recently linked to a new blogger who seems perfectly nice, liberal, blah blah blah.  Not long after I linked to her, she posted about a class she was taking.  Now I'm always anxious to hear about classes because I'm in permanent course withdrawal.  Her class was on becoming a psychic.

(cries quietly)

I suspect J.R., Montag and Anarcho-Socialist. I'd suspect Modem Butterfly too but she hasn't shown up in quite a while.

You should tell your new friend that unless James Randi or Penn Jillette are teaching the class she's wasting her money. In the meantime, offer to realign her chi for a small fee. Smiling

And disappointed...I wish I would have thought of itWink

spotted elephant | 2006-05-17 02:28 |  Oh, you're really onto something!

I could redirect my career and devote myself to teaching the paranormal.  No more spending countless hours preparing, no keeping up on the latest research, and I could have a blast just waiting to hear what I said next.  I bet I cold make a mint.

Sadly, many people thing psychology is the study of the paranormal, so it wouldn't be much of a change.

Chakras and the third eye weren't covered in your neuroanatomy course? Jeesh. Next thing you'll be telling me that you didn't even cover remote viewing in sensation and perception. Evil
